Really, you spent the weekend with family, friends, and a beautiful wife. And remember this, your finishing mark is a breath of fresh air after dealing with an unhappy hip and if you really would have tried to pull off an 18:45, then you might be looking for your hammie somewhere back near mile marker #2. Total score on the "comfortable" 6:13min mile pace and the "relaxing" strides, and a building block for this summers schedule. Last but not least, congrats Old Man. Just one second difference would probably make you feel a lot better about it! I ran a 5k that was not at all comfortable and I've been paying for it all weekend- so sore! I love a good 5k but I'm still waiting for one to feel more comfortable. My last few have been rough!Tiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17865099182609959790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1963402677916553399.post-67044960764475594412015-07-06T08:46:20.009-05:002015-07-06T08:46:20.009-05:00Nice medal and congrats on a strong race. You still have to go through the entire process of getting ready for a race and it seems over before it even begins. Glad you were able to place in your age group. Keep up the good work.Eddie Gaulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18151446665700309292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1963402677916553399.post-14721765981974418982015-07-05T15:33:44.139-05:002015-07-05T15:33:44.139-05:00Ah, I spent my Saturday with similar thoughts, ret...Ah, I spent my Saturday with similar thoughts, rethinking a slower pace and a dumb mistake in that morning's race - it's not just you!<br />Very fast 5k, age group winner or not (17:05, though - dang, is that guy in HGH?), and I think you are actually in great shape!
