I always learn a lot from your reports and I am always impressed with your consistancy.Rachelle Wardlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05924064419764851273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1963402677916553399.post-76591433650630521712011-09-13T13:47:09.876-05:002011-09-13T13:47:09.876-05:00I know you always say that this post is mainly jus...I know you always say that this post is mainly just for you, but I always like reading this one over the race summary one for each marathon you do, haha

And yea I wouldn't worry at all about not PRing. 45 seconds for a marathon is 2 seconds a mile, that is nothing!

I think your strategy of starting slower and then going faster as the miles tick by is a good one. But if your average pace is 7:40, should you be running that many miles close to 7:00? Not sure if this burns excess energy instead of trying to stay closer to maybe 7:20 in the middle miles when your body is feeling good. No idea on what the best way to do it is.

Anyways, just seems like you are being too hard on yourself for not PRing, your PR will come in the right conditions I think. I would just the races happen as they may.

And doing a marathon with 400 peole is insanely small! No surprise that you got super bored during it. Honestly I'm surprised they even hold a marathon with that few people, how do they make money or even break even on that race?

And hilarious on your joke about the Michelango statue, hahaNellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11613262056157769496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1963402677916553399.post-5312094288264090912011-09-13T12:57:44.413-05:002011-09-13T12:57:44.413-05:00I really like this post.
