But now ... drum roll please ... IT'S OPENING DAY!!! (If you have to ask Opening Day to what ... please look up "most awesomest day of the year" in the dictionary.) BASEBALL IS BACK!!!!!!!
Ya know how Kovas giggles excitedly when he gets another product to review in the mail? Or how EMZ's heart skips a beat then she hears the treadmill fire up? Or even how Chris K gets all goofy when a camel strolls into the room? Well take that, roll it up into one big seam covered white ball, and multiply it by a bagillion-kazillion! 'Cause ...
BASEBALL IS BACK!!!
And here is the best part ... MY ROYALS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR!!! (Most likely all the way to the cellar, but hey, everyone is in first place today!)... be great today!
Yay, go Royals! Are we the only two Royals fans in the world?
ReplyDeleteI am a Mets fan. I've already heard the phrase "wait till next year!"
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good day for an opening day! I think many of the games around the country are going to more like football weather this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really in to baseball unless I'm AT the game on a warm day with a cold drink. BUT, I feel that was about College Basketball when the season starts. I get SO excited!!
ReplyDeleteToday is a national holiday in my house, too. We are Dodger fans. My husband and son are going to the game today. Have a great season.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you aren't home honey. I got a late invite to the game today but passed since I had to work - but I could have got you in :)
ReplyDeleteGo Royals!! And Orioles!! (I'm actually a Baltimore girl, born and raised. Plus, Camden Yards is quite possibly the coolest stadium ever. Just sayin.)
ReplyDeleteI agree opening day = the best day of the year. I wholeheartedly disagree that KC is going all the way. Just saying there Mr. Weatherly. Now the Tigers? To be continued.....
ReplyDeleteI AM SO EXCITED ABOUT BASEBALL SEASON!! My boyfriend and I are HUGE Astros fans but we can probably still be friends even though you're a KC fan. Not so sure abut them going all the way though...
ReplyDeleteAs an Astros fan, I don't think we are planning to have baseball season this year. Good luck to your Royals.
ReplyDeleteToday is a GREAT day b/c BASEBALL IS BACK!! Tomorrow however, is more like Christmas b/c my TEXAS RANGERS OPEN SEASON (with their new 120ft jumbotron above homeplate....we can't let our neighbors over at Jerry World outshine us!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Opening Day!! Just posted my pics for the year today... I am bound to get one division right... right?
ReplyDeletehttp://incleanair.blogspot.com/2011/03/looking-into-future-my-picks-for-2011.html
You better watch out for the Twins! We have a killer team this year!
ReplyDeleteLove me some Baseball!
ReplyDeleteEverything is bigger in TEXAS!!! Wait until you see the see the new Jumbo Tron..
GO RANGERS!!!!
I know this is going to sound CRAZY but when I was younger I use to collect baseball cards. I was a real tomboy. Anyway, I remember I had a card for this guy that played for the Royals (i think)and he had a handle bar mustache. His name was something like Rollie or Rolly?? I could be completely embarassing myself but.....
ReplyDeleteDivision rival, Tigers fan here, dont worry, you should be better then the Indians
ReplyDeletePsh. Forget your Royals.
ReplyDeleteGO CARDS!!!!
Yes, baseball is back!
ReplyDeleteYou are a trooper for being a Royals fan! That team has had a lot of rough years. But didn't you win the title back in the 1980s with George Brett? That guy was insane.
While I do think the Royals will be in the cellar again in the AL Central this year, but mark it down - in 2014 you will be AL Central champs. Your farm system is insanely loaded. Moustakas, Hosmer, Lamb, Montgomery, etc will be studs in 2013 to 2014. As long as the Royals can keep those guys around, they will be awesome in 2-3 years!
And you describing Kovas, EMZ and Chris K above is hilarious - so true!
And I probably should mention that I'm an A's fan - and the team should have a good year this year. We have an awesome pitching staff, and a decent lineup. I see us finishing in 1st in the AL West.
ReplyDeleteAs for the world series, I see the favorites being:
NL - Giants or Phillies (both pitching staffs are loaded, the Phillies lineup is probably better)
AL - Red Sox (incredible lineup, solid pitching staff)
The Twins could be the other dark horse from the AL with Joe Nathan coming back, and they have a solid lineup and pitching staff as well
I LOVE opening day, but I am a Cardinals fan, still bitter about that bad call in '85. :^)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your enthusiasm. The Royals. Dude, seriously? Wow, you are a Glass if 3/4 full guy. Tell you what, I am going to make The Royals my AL team this year. I'm an NL guy. Go Royals. Does George Brett still play for them?
ReplyDeleteFunny, I had the same post yesterday, baseball is BACK! Royals had a good game today, walk off home run style! Oh and GO YANKEES.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 'Hits"!
ReplyDeleteYayy Baseball!! I didn't go to the game yesterday, it was in FL, but I was happy to be watching the first game of the season :D I prob won't go till it gets a little bit warmer :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, Royals are in 2nd place, Pads are in first place and undefeated. This is good.
