Transformation Complete: Old Man Arms!!!

Ya know, ya try to work out.  Ya try to run ... a lot.  And ya even try to eat as healthy as possible.  But then ya see the most recent race photos of yourself and BAM!!! ... there it is larger than life ... OLD MAN ARMS GUY!!!  Ya know who I mean ... the dude who's a little passed his prime, typically with a thorn or barbed-wire bicep tattoo sitting on the surface of loose-skin that jiggles slightly when he walks, typically sporting a sleeveless t-shirt with a wolf on the front, who back in the day had some pretty impressive guns, but now they're just a shell of what they used to be.  Yeah, that guy.

Not the best photo ... Old Man Arms & not to mention I'm about to pass out!
When Michael saw this photo, while laughing hysterically she said ... and this is an exact quote ... "What's up old man?  Need to hit those arms a little more there Lumpy!"  And when I told her I was writing a post about it she again howled with laughter and said ... and this is an exact quote ... "You're posting that picture???  Oh honey, I would never let anyone see that photo if I were you!"

Maybe a little bit of an over-reaction by my lovely bride, I mean, it's not like the worst picture of all time.  The ol' camera shutter just closed at the perfect second when gravity was playing a little prank on my loose arm skin ... that's all!  At least that's what I'm going with anyway.

Honestly I don't care - I just thought it was funny.  Michael told me that this was the difference between men and women, because a woman would never post an unflattering photo of themselves intentionally.  I guess she's right.  But I know who I am, and let's face it ... there aren't a whole barrell full of flattering photos of me sitting around!  So I embrace the Old Man Arms!  They keep it real up in here!  Besides, Michael can laugh at my doughy arms all she wants ... I was focusing on those smokin' hot dead-sexy legs!  Seacrest Out!
... be great today!

  3. Hahahahahaha!! It's nice to know Michael feels she can be frank with you.

I wouldn't ever put an unflattering photo up, but that's all I seem to get. So I just....don't put many photos up.

  4. That's nothing. My husband turns 60 next week (yes, I was a child bride) and you should see his arms ... and his boobs ... and the little poddy belly. It's all down hill from here.

  6. Haha, I am 49 and can confirm this transformation is no myth. I do feel like 35 though and that is all that matters. I also kick the butts of all the twenty something year olds I work with when it comes to running.

  7. Been a while since I've been here and I came on the perfect day. Hilarious dude and it is awesome to see things haven't changed for you or Michael.

She is still making fun of you and you are still running fast.

  8. bahaha! Well you are a grandpa after all old man so at least you have a valid excuse. :)

I am always teasing my Mom about her "old women arms". She weighs about 105lbs soaking wet but she definitely suffers from the syndrome.

  11. Old man arms does not matter as long as your attitude is positive. One should be more worried of the training and the race that gives recognition rather than the look of the arms.
