Trigger Point Performance - Grid Foam Roller (black & orange pictured) |
The Grid Foam Roller has a hard plastic inner shell that allows the firm foam on the outside to keep its shape. It also has various "grooves" for additional massage therapy. It retails for about $40, but it's well worth it. Michael and I each have had one of our own for about two months now and neither has shown any signs of losing its shape or firmness. Also, the harder, denser foam massages much deeper into your muscles than traditional soft foam rollers. Here is the info from their website ... http://www.tptherapy.com/
The Grid features:

- Designed to withstand constant, heavy, and repeated use without breaking down

... be great today!
i looked into buying one of these last year, but im so freakin cheap, i decided to make my own with PVC and a roll of foam. it works pretty well, but certainly not as pretty as the real deal
ReplyDeleteI would like to try one of these out. Will have check them out at the stores.
ReplyDeleteHey, BTW... thanks for the stickers. I have one hanging at work and EVERYBODY asks about it. Great way for me to talk their ears off about running.... :)
My pleasure P - thanks for following!!!
ReplyDeleteI can attest that the GRID is awesome. Way better than the conventional soft foam roller. I try to use it daily to help keep my IT, quads, calves and hamstrings loose. After every run or workout I use it for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I will check this out.
ReplyDeleteI wish they were cheaper - would hate to try it and not like it.
ReplyDeleteKovas - true, something I intended to write in the post was that they might not be for everyone. They are VERY firm and some people might like a softer massage.
ReplyDeleteThat looks way more painful (but useful) than my foam roller... off to check it out! Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI've had that same roller in my hands at the store a couple times. Maybe I'll just go ahead and buy it. Just do it.
ReplyDeleteWould there be anyway you could possibly get the phone number and mailing address for that gentleman in the picture who is rolling on the foam roller? I need to ask him something important.
Hmmm....may have to pony up for that one (or something with a hard shell, anyway). My regular squishy one is losing its touch (I've had it about a year, I guess), and if I replace it twice, I've spent more than $40!
ReplyDeleteI was not aware of that type of foam roller. I've often thought about buying into one. I'll keep this one in mind. Thanks.
