If you've followed my blog for any time at all, you know I'm a waaaaay bigger baseball nut than running geek. I was a college pitcher. I still play fantasy baseball. And we literally have about 300 autographed baseballs, and 150,000 baseball cards we've collected over the years. (Yes, I have a job and own my home ... I don't live in my parent's basement) But most of all, we are
Kansas City Royals crazy in this house! Yes, I know, they are the perennial door mat of Major League Baseball ... but this year is different my friends. This year we've spent some money! This year we have pitching! This year we matter! Viva Los Royals!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, not an enormous baseball fan, but I have to admire any dedication that runs that deep.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, love this post. I was just telling my son how much I positively love baseball games. Unfortunately I'm in Utah - desolate of MLB. Little league will have to do.
ReplyDeleteHow did you manage to keep Jack off the field? Toby would have been out there chasing the ball for sure.
ReplyDeleteSame here.... LOVE my Red Sox!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! The weather looks so nice in all of these pictures. Awwwww Summer!!
ReplyDeleteThis is Fan-tastic. Get it?
ReplyDeleteThats really special man. I appreciate anybodys love for something positive and seems to get the whole family together. I went to a few games myself when I lived in Overland Park. Nice stadium. Take care Mr. 5k dominator!

ReplyDeleteI'm calling it - 2013 AL Central Champs. I grew up in KC, am a huge Royals fan to this day and worked for the Astros for 4 years. Excited to see the Royals here in Houston at the end of May! -Chris
ReplyDeleteMy husband hides his baseball card collection in our garage. At some point, his mom made him clean out the cabinets in her garage.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a dedicated cabinet on display in the living room of the good stuff. I don't know what that means, but he obviously does.
And, we've taken our dog to Bark in the Park at Dodger Stadium twice. Really fun.
Where did you play college baseball? So cool! Now I think you're really famous!
Ha, just a small college in Missouri, Southwest Baptist University - glad you're impressed - ha!
