Joplin, Missouri Tornado

Many of you have no doubt seen news coverage of the tornado that destroyed Joplin, MO last night.  Joplin is about 2 hours south of Kansas City, MO and about an hour from where I grew up.  My niece lives in Joplin and her home was completely destroyed last night & they lost everything, but she is okay ... just really shaken up.  There are thousands of families just like her there, please keep them in your thoughts & prayers.

If you have the ability, please consider a donation to the American Red Cross disaster fund at the following link www.redcross.org .  You can click on the DONATE FUNDS button in the upper right hand corner and designate funds to tornado victim relief.  Thanks for your help.

  2. There has been WAY TOO MUCH bad weather around you guys lately! When I saw the radar on the news channel last night I was holding my breath. I always think about you and Michael!

Then, I woke up this morning and was watching the Today show and was getting all teary. Makes me sad to think of all those people who have lost everything. I wish someone would organize a race to raise money! Think of what could be raised!!?

  18. So sorry to hear the bad news. I can't believe the destruction this spring. We shopped this weekend to fill disaster relief buckets to go to AL, MS, and LA for the tornado victims and the flood victims. Such a hard time for some many across the USA.
