This is my office window, pre-sunrise, on what will be a sunny day. That's not rain. THAT'S CONDENSATION. It was left from ridiculous humidity and high dew point in downtown Kansas City!!! About an hour earlier I finished my weekly tempo run in this mess. It went fine. I'm the amphibian.

80 degrees, 92% humidity |
All in all it was a good workout with a shorter version of a tempo run. It was 4 consecutive miles at 6:33. In spite of the conditions, I seemed to manage the pace fairly easily - which makes me optimistic about this weekend's back-to-back 10K followed by a 5K. Hopefully the humidity drops, but it's doubtful. We may be swimming to the finish line. Have a great weekend!
... be great today!
Sweaty workouts for you! We are having a very warm winter so far. Our winters are dry and currently there are fires everywhere. I think we have close to 0% humidity at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI think running in all that humidity is probably like altitude training! Less oxygen available.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the heat that does you in - it's the humidity. I'm so glad it's winter here at the moment. Not a big fan of summer.
