Most personality studies will tell you that by nature most bloggers are over achievers. We're the types that are focused, driven, and generally fairly successful in life. I would probably fall into that category. Good at a few things, but not really great at any of them. But I definitely am passionate about several of those things, and thus, spend a lot of time trying to improve at them.
A recent fascination of mine has been film making. I love it, but there's so much to learn. Being an artist at heart, it's a beautiful, but technically challenging way to capture emotion and express feeling. So here is a short 6 minute film I made from our recent trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico to visit Michael's family. It was a great trip and hopefully this video captures it. I shot it all with my Lumix DMC FZ28 camera, and edited it with Cyberlink PowerDirector 12
The challenge I have now is finding good, ROYALTY FREE music that enhances my movies. Unfortunately in my film making, I'm still breaking the rules a bit. Even though I paid for this song, "Landslide" by the Dixie Chicks, I didn't have their permission to use it, and Youtube will absolutely pull this video before long. But as I get better, I'll find unpublished music, or begin making movies without a musical soundtrack. Anyway, view this one while you can, because it will be gone before long. Have a great weekend!
... be great today!

ReplyDeleteOn bloggers, over achiever is definitely preferable to my husband calling it narcissistic! Happy Holidays!
