Having grandchildren makes you do weird things. I've put up Christmas lights on the house a few times in the past when my own kids were little, but I haven't done it for several years. But this year, my grandson Ryder is 3-1/2 and starting to really get into Christmas. So for the first time in a long time, I put up Christmas lights for the little guy!
We had everyone over for a little lighting ceremony, followed by a belated Thanksgiving dinner. Ryder got to throw the switch to light everything up. Here is a little video from the night. It's only 90 seconds long, but the last part is the best. It's just Ryder & Papa J chillin', and chattin' about Christmas lights and Santa. (Sorry it's so dark) It was a fantastic time with family as always! Hope your weekend went well too. Have a great week!
... be great today!
Nicely done!! That looks great! My dad loves being a grandpa and is always doing things for the kids that he never did for us. so funny.
ReplyDeletePapa J may be the cutest garndparent name that I have ever heard.
ReplyDeleteThe house looks great!
The house is looking great! Our house also puts the Griswolds to shame. My husband isn't happy if any surface remains undecorated, and since he and our ten yr old do most of the work, who am I to complain?
ReplyDeleteOf course it's not a competition. But secretly you know that you're the best don't you?!
ReplyDeleteNice job on the lights.
What fun with your grandson. I don't know who Griswold is. Pop culture fail.
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE it's a competition.
ReplyDeleteReally awesome!
ReplyDeleteNice work Clark. Where's the RV?
ReplyDeletegood luck to Missouri tomorrow! I hope you guys get in over Auburn, Auburn has gotten lucky so far.
ReplyDeleteBummer on Missouri, I was shocked at the lack of defense by either team mainly. Stanford simply destroyed Arizona State. I think Stanford will rock Michigan State in Rose Bowl - MSU has also played cupcakes much of the year to pile up their gaudy defensive stats.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome light display! I need to plug ours in. I think we left them up all year.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! Have a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year!
